Magnetic Particle- MT

Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) is a non-destructive testing process designed to detect flaws and cracks invisible to the naked eye in ferrous materials. The method involves the magnatization of a component then applying magnetic particles, either dry or in a wet suspension. These particles are attracted to an area of flux leakage and form what is known as an indication, which is evaluated to determine its nature, cause, and acceptability.

Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) provides very good defect resolution and is used to inspect a variety of product forms, including castings, forgings, and weldments within the following industries:

*    Aerospace

*    Aviation

*    Petrochemical

*    Utilities

*    Automotive

*    Ship Building

*    Railroads

*    Theme Parks
